We want to start off by congratulating each and every participant. In only 60 short days (although at times I am sure some days felt longer than others
) the changes that people made in their bodies and performance is quite remarkable.
We can’t say enough how proud we are to have been a small part of what has hopefully been, to some degree, a life altering process. It was a lot of fun to listen to people’s stories about how difficult it was initially (Sheri getting ticked off because all she wanted was a darn Ritz cracker), and then how each person seemed to transition into a comfortable routine.
It was a very close race for the top prize, and the top few finishers all encompassed everything that we hoped would be embraced by the challengers.
In the end, the winner with a total overall change of 24.5″ is….

For the 60 Day FPL Challenge:
RICK WILLSON!!
Rick shed an amazing 24.5 total inches, had tremendous gains in his performance, was dedicated in his attendance, and says he can’t believe how much better he feels. His pictures speak for themselves of the changes he made to his body.
Congratulations Rick! You earned the $1100 first prize! Wowowowow!!!!!!
Although this contest was set up as a ‘winner take all’ format, we were so happy and proud of everyone’s hard work we decided to hand out 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
In 2nd place, with an amazing 22.25 overall inches lost is Teresa Macdonald!!
Teresa came on board and embraced the challenge from the beginning. Not only did she shed an amazing amount of inches, but her recent health markers showed an unprecedented improvement, enough to impress her doctors! In 2nd place, Teresa will receive a gift certificate for 2 free months at CrossFit DV! Congratulations!
And in 3rd place, with a solid 20″ lost is Mel Waddell.
Mel was a very reluctant entrant, but made a very strong showing and worked hard to shed those inches. We are very happy for Mel and he has shown great dedication and perseverance. For his third place finish, Mel will receive a certificate for 1 free month of unlimited training at CrossFit DV. Congratulations Mel!

Dave lost 7″ but gained muscle in his arms and his chest which is exactly what he hoped would happen so he definitely earned mention as well.
The results for everyone who stayed compliant throughout the entire 60 days showed significant results and you all should be very proud of yourselves. From the beginning we wanted this to be a kick-start for a new way for people to eat and live their lives. We hope that you have at least built up the awareness of the effects of food on your bodies, and hope that it is enough to keep people on track.

Toni Bierkos!!!
Toni just joined us at CrossFit DV slightly over a month ago and has been a dedicated CrossFitter ever since. She has taken to CrossFit quite naturally and has already shown signs of making nice strength gains. Toni and her fellow 30 Day Challengers all shed inches and made improvements in the gym, but Toni edged everyone out because of her level of commitment. Congratulations Toni! We look forward to continuing to watch you improve!
