From the day we decided to have a ‘CrossFitter of the Month’ distinction Nicole was always in the running. She has always been a finalist, and is now going to be recognized for all her hard work and dedication.
Nicole started CrossFit nearly two years ago when Phil was in his original location. She was fairly consistent and made progress, but it wasn’t until this fall that she really buckled down and took full control of her nutrition and her WOD’s, and WOW, the results have been impressive!
Nicole is another example of what we can become if we follow the simple principles that CrossFit DV promotes: proper nutrition, proper exercise, proper rest and stress management. Nicole heard a few of the coaches talking about this ‘Paleo’ thing and quietly decided to do her own research and embarked upon her own 30 Day challenge. By the time January rolled around she was as lean as ever and was PR’ing on a consistent basis at CrossFit.
To talk to Nicole and see her with her two beautiful kids, you would never suspect that she can deadlift more than double her body weight. You would never guess that she can rip off 10+ pull ups at a time, and you could never imagine how she just seems able to keep lifting more and going and going and going. Nicole just quietly goes about working through her WOD’s with quiet and subtle determination seemingly lifting more weight each day.
Nicole is a delight to have in classes and her little girl Ericka has been adopted by CrossFit DV as an ‘official kid of CrossFit DV’! We are so impressed with Nicole in so many ways and that is why she is FINALLY getting her due! Congratulations to a well deserved CrossFit DV CrossFitter of the Month!
