The foundation for ultimate performance in sport (and life) is nutrition. If we don’t have the proper fuel going into our system, it is difficult to sustain our energy levels throughout the day and deal effectively with the day to day stresses that life brings.
Eating 3 meals a day for 7 days a week gives you 21 chances to put the best fuel as possible into your system. A CrossFit workout typically takes 1 hour (warmup, skill work and workout) to complete which gives us 23 remaining hours to either enhance or undo what we did at CrossFit. The choice is always ours.
Much of the CrossFit community relies on a ‘Paleo’ (Paleolithic Diet) which, in a nutshell (pun intended) consists basically of meat, vegetables, fruits, some starches, nuts and seeds. It is also important to be eating the highest quality foods that are available to you. Grass-fed beef, free range chickens and locally grown fruits and vegetables when possible.
We offer a detailed nutrition plan that will help you shed those extra pounds, gain some muscle mass and help you reach your goals. Schedule a consultation today!
