Yeah, but did they keep it off??

One of the reasons we put so much emphasis on our nutrition recommendations as a lifestyle change and not simply a diet is because diets are things that people go on and go off without ever maintaining any meaningful change. When one makes a change to their lifestyle, they commit to a new way of living. We are confident that what we recommend can be sustainable for your lifetime (all the coaches at the gym have been eating this way for at least a year and, yes, we have our cheats now and then, but have settled into this as a way of life). We wanted to highlight two of our members for making meaningful and sustainable changes in their lives.

First, you all should remember Rick. The winner of our 60 day FPL Challenge. He won the challenge by not only improving his performance in the gym, but by losing 25 overall inches in just 60 days!! We wanted to do a follow up on Rick to see if he has ‘fallen off the wagon’ and see if he has gained any of his weight loss back, but he did the opposite. Rick has continued to do the right things and lean out even more since then. He has lost another 10.5 inches and continues to improve his performance in the gym.

Check this guy out!

And then there is Bill…Bill came to CrossFit DV strong, but knowing he needed something to change up his routine, and change he did. ‘Our Monster’ (as I affectionately like to call him) has also made an impressive transformation. He really made a lot of progress during our challenge as well, but he didn’t stop there either. Bill continued to lose inches in all the places he wanted to like his waist and hips, but gained mass in places like his chest, arms and thighs. He is as ripped as they come and his performance is simply jaw dropping some days.

So, the verdict is in. Not only did these guys keep it off, they kept getting leaner and stronger. The changes are subtle to see in the pictures, but the tape measure doesn’t lie. These guys are really at the fine tuning phase, but as you can see from where they started back in January, they have come a long way. I would be willing to bet that these guys would love to share their experiences with you and answer any questions you may have about their journey and their lifestyle change. If you see them around the gym be sure to congratulate them and introduce yourselves. They are both great guys and would be glad to help.
